Mow the lawn

Clean your house

Give your roommates money

Install a hot tub

Make a fort

Hit up a shooting range

Plan and execute a murder mystery night for unsuspecting friends

Have a good cry

it does have an animatronic LBJ and you can sit on a couch in front of it and listen as it "tells 5 amusing anecdotes".

Yeehah.

I would go down the the Guadalupe and rent a tube and just travel the river. And they have tube with coolers attached so that you can bring beers on your lazy ride.

Whatever you pick though, if you want company, gimme a call. I got lots of free time.

You can devote at least a full day to the thrift store tour of Austin. This is seriously what I do with my out-of-town friends when they visit.
Must see sites: Blue Hanger, Thrift Land, Thrift Town (not my favorite but a lot of people love it). Texas Thrift, Roadhouse Relics (I think that's the name, it's in a shack off Ben White headed west past S 1st, before Lamar). The goodwill on Lake Austin Blvd. (cheap rich people clothes) The thrift stores on Burnet) and all the cute boutique consignment shops on S 1st, They are more expensive, but less searching. If you really want a thrift store adventure, Kerrville is only a few hours away and it is pretty much just a little town full of thrift stores. If you go there on a saturday, some of the shops close at 2pm or something crazy like that. I found that out after driving there.

You should also go to all the little swimming holes around that I never have the time to go to. Campbell's hole, Hamilton Pool, the one with the waterfalls, Bull Creek, there are way more on the greenbelt. Just check the water levels first to make sure they aren't dry.

I've always wanted to go to one of the bingo halls and gamble with old people. In FL they were BYOB, think that's true here too. (let me know if you do this one. I am in).

Peter Pan Putt Putt. Bring your own cooler full of beers and a few friends. Invent a drinking game while you play!

Putt Putt = AWESOME
Drunken Putt Putt = Double Plus Awesome!

You can pull this off. I'm almost positive. I came damn close.

Most of the good swimming holes are dry right now. Although, I was out at Mc Kinny falls a few months ago and it still had water. You can slide down the water fall into the pool below. So much fun!

Hamilton Pool has water all year long, and I highly recommend it. It's absolutely beautiful out there. We may go this weekend.

get a group of folks together and do the Burnet Bus Bar Crawl. The best way to do it is on a weekday. Park at C. Hunt's Icehouse and take the #3 bus south to Waterloo Ice House. Have one drink there and catch the bus to the Draught House (Horse). Repeat. Future stops include: Billy's on Burnet, Ginny's Little Longhorn, Poodle Dog Lounge, La La's, El Mercado, Buddy's Place, Trudy's, Sherlock's, and finish back at C. Hunt's (they are only open during the week until 11, so you may have to find another beginning/ending location). This is something I have wanted to do for my birthday for the last three years, but I can't ever get enough people interested.

The other thing I have always wanted to do for my birthday is take a group of people to one of the many shooting ranges outside of Austin. They provide you with guns, ammo, and free-range Gitmo prisoners. (not sure, but i would bet since it is texas that you can bring a cooler of beer).

Plan a Paparazzi party. Get many people together with cameras. Take a date to a fancyish place and have the photogs wait for you to leave. Then they can follow you to various clubs or bars or whatever and just generally harass you. I think it would be fun to watch how many people also take pictures of you believing that you are some famous dude.
