i'm pissed at him, his son, Jackie Chan and anyone else involved in the new Karate Kid for not knowing the freaking difference between karate and kung fu.
The thing is, The Kung Fu Kid is a perfectly acceptable title for a movie. So yeah, WTF?

exactly! the Shaolin Kid, the Wushu Kid, the Wudong ...

I'm not sure this will work. The bottom line is that you have competitors in this market who deliver the same goods/services for lesser cost, a flagging economy, not to mention competing with digital distribution to many a home with similar comforts and convenience. Theaters are built on a volume ...

Thanks Joe! I hope you enjoy it (I'm about 3/4s the way through myself).

A number of my co-workers meet each Tues/Thurs for a lunch-hour ultimate game with some Vigil folks. The Austin game dev community is a really great one (NY's game scene is still fairly sparse).

After its release yesterday, the review embargo was lifted and the game is currently tracking fairly well - it's leveled off at 96 on Metacritic.

Thanks for the nods, guys. It was a challenge for sure.

To also keep it a bit topical to these fora, here's an interview with Mark Meer, the male voice actor for Shepard, Mass Effect 2's protagonist. For those who don't know of Mark, he's one of the lead players of Edmonton's Rapid Fire Theatre improv company .

I know St. Sanders' parodies have been posted before, but I enjoyed his Stones shred vid so much I thought it deserved its own post.

Damn, Justin. Sorry about that - I said those exact words when I realized I wasn't going to make it. :(

On the upside, we now know who's interested in catching Spoon when they play again.

Thanks! A lot of hard work by a great team of folks... I updated the YT link to an active vid.

The celebration continues! Heppy Birthday, Challie!

Last minute tix to Spoon available (7/11 show)

Hi all-

I have 2 tickets to tonight's Spoon show at Stubbs that I'm unable to attend as I'm not feeling well. They were $20/each when I purchased but given the last minute, any offer would be something to consider (I'd rather not see them go to waste).

PM me if you're interested...

Mass Effect 2 trailer

Not exactly improv related....

I mentioned to a few this past weekend that I was putting in some long hours on BioWare's latest game - some asked to see what we're up to.

Below is the latest trailer for Mass Effect 2. Labeled a Dev diary as there's talking heads of the team, the majority of the ...

Questionable career choices of Hollywood

Here we see Matthew McConaughey, Kate Beckinsale and Gary Oldman make the same questionable choice.

It must of been one helluva script...or one really terrible agent.
