Two weeks from today, on Tuesday the 17th, the Austin Moose Lodge (2103 EM Franklin) will host the first in a series of free improv musical events! Admission will be free; all are welcome to attend and / or participate (bring your own instrument).

Randomly selected performers (in groups of 2 or 3) will play unplanned musical pieces of indeterminate length. The only rule is that the performances must be entirely improvised. The evening will be beautiful and exciting. I hope to see you there.

I thought at first you were plugging improv that was free of music which would be a weird way to plug a show.

you don't need to be a moose member to attend this event. the moose lets us have shows in their bar area because it boosts their visibility / it's a membership building exercise / whatever. all are welcome! also i'm pretty sure this moose lodge at least has lady members AND atheists.

and our sound performances are CERTIFIED 100% music free!

our music likewise is certified sound-free.

we are very avant-garde.

is it also dolphin-safe?

i would not recommend attendance if you are a dolphin. there are no tanks of water at the moose lodge, and even if you bring your own, there's really not room.
