An Advertising Committee Meeting was held on Tuesday, November 15th at 6:00 at the Hideout.
The following issues were decided/discussed:
Third Thursday
--Make flyers for Third Thursday Promotion (Cage Match) on Nov 17th (Phil) - DONE
--Call for Volunteers for Third Thursday (Wes) - DONE
--Hand out flyers (Erika) - On track for this evening @ 8:00 (meet outside Amy's on Guadaloupe)
Post-Thanksgiving Push
--Make flyers for Cage Match, Musical Maestro, and other specialty shows (Phil, Wes, Andy) - On track; may be able to reuse Third Thursday flyers
--Call for volunteers (Wes) - Stay tuned for more info on when and where we will need people
--First Thursday - Stay tuned; we will need volunteers for handing things out and maybe performing
On-Campus show
--Get UT schedule (Wes) - DONE; link
--Call Campus (?) - I don't know that a specific person wound up with this responsibility, so we should talk this out as soon as we can. A student or student organization will need to reserve us space to perform.
--Target Date - Sunday the 11th
--Target Gimmick - Bring a textbook and procrastinate with improv?
--Talk to ColdTowne Heroes (?) - Again, I don't think any one person landed this one. Andy said they may want to head this up though. I'll see them at the Cage Match tomorrow and I'll bring it up.
Questionnaire
--Update Questionnaire with new suggestions (Roy) - By Nov. 18th shows.
--Questionnaires will now be given out at the box office with ticket purchase. People can win free tickets for filling them out.
Logo/Motto
--We decided that "Everything from Nothing" will be our official Austin Improv motto.
--Now that we have a motto, we can focus on getting a logo (Phil and Valerie) - By 12/31 if possible
Universal Info Flyer
--Make/update a "universal" flyer for handing out at events that announces the basic schedule, classes, etc. for the Hideout. Similar to the tri-fold brochures currently in the box office (Andy)
Failure show
--Have a show in January where bringing proof of a failed grade gets you in free.
