The show is still in previews. Drop by Friday night to check it out. Opening night is October 9th. As always performers get in for free, provided there's space. Check out out this awesome copy we wrote for it:
ColdTowne Theater presents…
Eye for an iPhone
Main Stage Sketch Revue to run every Friday at 8pm, starting October 9th
On October 9th, 2009 at 8pm, ColdTowne Theater will debut their glorious and righteous full-length sketch revue, Eye for an iPhone. The show, which will run through the end of December, features a mix of absurdist character pieces, social satire and boastful self-aggrandizement.
Developed over three months through improv shows, writing sessions and rehearsals, Eye for an iPhone features a cast of writers/performers made up of some of Austin’s most talented young comedians. The revue is helmed by veteran performer and former Second City director Dave Buckman (the Frank Mills, ColdTowne Conservatory Teaching Staff).
The ColdTowne Theater is Austin’s main stage for alternative comedy, with improv, sketch and stand up shows Thursday through Monday, featuring the smartest, brightest, and hardest-working comedians in Central Texas. ColdTowne’s resident comedians are three time winners of the Austin Chronicle’s “Best of Austin” Readers Poll for “Best Comedy Group” and have appeared all over country at festivals, on college campuses and at house parties.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online through coldtownetheater.com. Group Rates are available by contacting coldtowne@coldtownetheater.com.
