Ka-Baam!! opens this Weekend

TWO NIGHTS THIS WEEK WITH DIFFERENT CASTS!!
Rising from the ashes like a Dark Phoenix, Ka-Baam has returned, more powerful than ever. First Superman returned from the dead, then Captain America thwarted the Grim Reaper, and now Austin’s favorite improvised comic book adventure show returns from a near-dead hiatus.
Ka-Baam!! is the brain child of Steve Wacker, former editor at DC Comics and current editor at Marvel Comics and has enjoyed celebrated runs in New York City since its 1998 inception. Last year, the show had an Austin launched helmed by director, Asaf Ronen, and has been ranked by the Chronicle amongst the “Top 10 Wonderful Things About Austin Theatre in 2008” AND “Top 10 Favorite Arts Events Across the Disciplines.” This year promises to be even bigger and better with added cast, added artists and added comic book surprises.
Based on audience suggestion, every performance of Ka-Baam!! premieres the origins and adventures of three never-before-seen, never-to-be-seen-again, heroes. It is the Golden Age of comics revisited with the greatest of villains, most ridiculous of brawls and special guest comic book artists every week to help capture the action in pencil and ink. It’s every fanboy’s four-color fantasy writ large... Ka-Baam!!
Created by Steve Wacker (editor, Marvel Comics), directed by Asaf Ronen (Sickest F***ing Stories I Ever Heard) the cast will be as follows:
FRIDAY the 11th:
Erik Adams, Kaci Beeler, Jon Clinkenbeard, Troy Miller, Kacey Samiee, Michael Thomas, and Jason Vines.
SATURDAY the 12th
Erik Adams, Jon Clinkenbeard, Patrick Daniels, Aden Kirschner, Marc Majcher, Audrey Sansom, Sarah Marie Tufts, and Jason Vines.
Bothnights featuring the Stan Lee-esque narration of Asaf "the Ronin" Ronen and special guest artist Kristin Hogan (Dead Squirrel Girl).
