So, I'm a part-time totally amateur (board, video, rpg) game designer when I'm not doing improv or working for the man. I read a lot of other indie designers' blogs and forums. There are some really amazing things going on in independent role-playing these days, and a bunch of people have put out some incredible work in the last few years. My first crack at writing a short rpg for public consumption last year was heavily informed by my experience with improv - I think the two are very closely related, though few people on either side seem to share this viewpoint.
Imagine my elation when I started reading posts from a couple designers that I respect a great deal, talking about their new experiences with introductory improv classes. This has lead to a good amount of talk recently in the usual places, about how improv and some of the better rpgs are related, and how ideas from one form can help a person become better in the other, and vice versa. Anyway, I just came across an excellent example of why I love the confluence of these two arts, and I wanted to share this tasty little bit that I thought y'all might find interesting here:

And, of course, if anyone wants to try a short, fun game of something strongly narrative and improv-y, let me know. I got a bunch of 'em.
