for one night.
This Friday, the Hideout will be dark, because we've learned the hard way that we can't do a show when there are HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF MOTORCYCLES parading up and down Congress Ave. Damn you,
ROT Rally.
We are, of course, still having shows on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Thursday is the Threefer headlined by The Confidence Men's improvised Mamet
Saturday is a special all-ladies Improvised Shakespeare, followed by Maestro.

The Sunday show is Fairly Silly Fairy Tales at 2pm.

My landlord (or one of them since it's a group of siblings that do it) is coming into town just for the biker rally. That's right. Biker landlord.
Saturday is a special all-ladies Improvised Shakespeare . . .
What? It can't be done! Can it? It can't! Can it?

Can we have a super secret improv coven with candles and dragon's blood in lieu of our regularly scheduled programming?

Seems like a shame to have the theater go dark. What about a film screening? Could you screen something being talked about in another thread? What about a [insert cable TV show title] marathon?
Or you could take a break and have a night off to relax or go see shows at the other theaters!! Comedy Sportz is adding a show on Friday night (soon).

Even if we did free shows, no one would come. Congress will literally be shut down. And teaming with 50,000+ bikers.
Last year, there was a loud concert happening on a stage setup in the middle of Congress less than a block from The Hideout. The noise was unbearable.
It's just the occasional price we pay for being downtown.

If you're bummed about no Hideout comedy on Friday night, my motorcycle-and-bandana-themed troupe Hell Bent for Laughter will be performing on the streets, keeping the crowd in stitches with hilarious games like:

Category Die Where The Category Is Motorcycles
New Choice (of Bandana)
Stupid Goddamn Cops
Grunt in One Voice
Remember That Scene in Easy Rider?
Filthy T-Shirt Slogans
We're expecting a warm reception, so check it out!
