Here is our press release listing all the fabulous events coming up next weekend (June 5-7)

The Hideout has signed a new lease under new management -- which is incredibly exciting for us, so we're celebrating with an official Grand Re-Opening. We're dedicating an entire weekend to a recognition of The Hideout's outstanding improv line-up and its community of improvisers and audiences.

Come out on Friday, June 5 at 8:00pm and see a showcase of current Hideout students open for Parallelogramophonograph's GRIMM, twisted fairy tales in the style of the brother's Grimm.

Our 10:00pm show will feature The Great Wheel Of Improvised Theatre! A spin of the wheel will determine which of Austin's many improv formats each scene will use. It's dangerous! It's random! It spins!

There will be a party after the shows to celebrate The Hideout Theatre's new life!

On Saturday, June 6, at 5:00pm, a panel featuring the new management team will present their vision, answer your questions, and solicit feedback. At 8:00pm The Hideout's current primetime show, Improvised Shakespeare, will present a special all-male cast performance of The Bard's finest un-written work.

The 10:00pm show will be a special star-studded Maestro - Austin's longest running Improv show - featuring players from the new management team, representatives from other theaters, and some of the amazing Hideout regulars who make it all possible.

On Sunday, June 7 at 2pm it is family time. The fabulous Flying Theater Machine returns with it's wildly popular "Fairly Silly Fairy Tales." After the show we will have a party to celebrate our Birthday. The Hideout is the only improv theater in town that has a devotion to introducing kids to improv through shows and classes. If that's not a reason to celebrate; What is?

So take this opportunity to come see the new Hideout, and where we will be headed in the next 5 years and beyond. See some amazing improv shows - something for everyone. And help us celebrate the joy of Improv in Austin.

All shows at the Hideout Theater; 617 Congress Ave. Evening shows are $10, Children's show is $5. To buy tickets online please go to www.hideouttheatre.com.

I don't know if you're all full up on that wheel, but all the members of let's rock are going to be around if there's space.

What is the forum on Saturday? Is that designed for the general public or for improvisers, or both?

It is designed for improvisers, mainly because I can't really see who else would be interested. But if others want to show up that is just great.

I really want to make it to the forum, but I can't; I've a wedding to attend. Is someone going to be filming or taking notes/minutes?

Well, I hadn't really thought of that. I guess we could ask some one to film or take notes. Hey, does anyone want to film or take notes for the panel discussion on Saturday at 5pm?
