Slow to load threads?

Post by mcnichol »

It seems like it is taking quite a long time to load a thread. Navigating through the different forums is fine, but when I click on a thread it takes 20 to 30 seconds to load. Is this happening for anyone else?

Oh yes. Only it's taking at least a minute to load the full thread for me. The first post on a given thread loads immediately but the rest of the posts take a while to come up.

Hmmm, I did notice the banner ads that appear between posts now seem to be gone, so maybe the site is attempting to load those? Or maybe something else is going on?

Glad to know it's not just me though.

Yes - it started happening to me too, yesterday or the day before. I just assumed it was my cr*ppy RoadRunner Lite internet service.

Worse than that, www.austinimprov.com isn't loading at all... so I can't promote the Iron Improviser festival there, or any of the other shows, for that matter.

Bob A.'s the only one who can fix it, and rumor has it he's in Sweden or something. Kristin sent him an email.

Fortunately, I'm in town and will swing by the house and diddle with the switches and such. Hopefully this will help.

It seems to have been fixed -- all fast now (thank you whoever you are!). AND those banner ads in between posts are back... related?

All I did was press a button.

You're welcome.
