A Bill Hicks Tribute Thurs Feb 26th, 2009 7pm Cap City Comedy Club 8120 Research Blvd

Featuring Dwight Slade and a screening of the 2007 compilation "Squeegee Your Third Eye"
Feb 26, 2009 will mark the 15th anniversary of the legendary comic's passing. Bill was best known for his biting wit and spot on social commentary. He had 2 HBO specials, numerous appearances on The David Letterman Show, and a BBC pilot in the works before his untimely passing at age 32 from pancreatic cancer. He has been lauded by rock bands Tool and Radiohead and numerous fellow comics, from Eddie Izzard to Jay Leno, as a major influence and inspiration.He was also recognized by the Bristish House of Commons on the 10th anniversary of his passing.

To honor his memory, The Bill Hicks Foundation teams up with the Cap City Comedy Club to present an evening of "love laughter and truth " hosted by national touring act and winner of this years Boston Comedy Festival, Dwight Slade. There will also be a screening of the 2007 locally compiled "Squeegee Your Third Eye" tribute and Q& A afterwards with Dwight, who was Bills' boyhood comedic partner and lifelong friend.

The Bill Hicks Foundation for Wildlife Rehabilitation is a A Not for Profit Texas Corp which aids in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of orphaned, ill and injured Central Texas Wildlife.
