Eversion: An amazing 2D retro gaming experience

This game is too awesome to not share with you people.

Eversion is a free 2D platform game with an ever-increasing difficulty curve to keep you on your toes (hence the warning about not being for small children or people with nervous dispositions), but unlike I Wanna Be The Guy, it's still playable. (That, and it was made for the H.P. Lovecraft game-making contest.)

The story is simple: you're a flower, you need to rescue the princess. Nuff said. What makes the game awesome enough for me to share it with you is your character's ability to "everse": slip into alternate dimensions where the layout changes, enemies become more or less stronger, and different obstacles may pop up or get out of the way. There are multiple eversion levels, each with ever-increasing difficulty, and you'll need to master all of them to get through safely.

Needless to say, going through all of the eversion levels is a truly cinematic experience.

The game has two endings, depending on whether you get all the gems or not, and trust me, it's a challenge, but that only ups the replay value. Get all the gems to slip into the deepest eversion level and get the good ending!
