Tami Nelson is "one of the best Strait Players, 4real, 4evr" according to anyone she's ever improvised with. Together they have played countless shows and spent hours on and off stage perfecting their Strait/Absurd dynamic.
This workshop will dissect your stage relationships with the goal of immediately identifying the Strait/Absurd dynamic and how to play both sides effectively and more importantly, joyfully! We will work with you to help you recognize your existing strengths and weaknesses within this relationship dynamic and offer tools to simplify Strait/Absurd scenes.

Chris and Tami are founders of the ColdTowne Theater & ColdTowne Conservatory (Austin, TX). They have performed at almost every major comedy festival in North America as well as appeared on Comedy Central and in the New York Times. They've produced comedy festivals, performed with MC Chris, Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black, Comedy Central Presents, and the Upright Citizens Brigade at SXSW. Chris and Tami have taught classes and workshops full time since 2006.
