The big news from Gnap! rolls on. Starting in February, we're adding 8 pm shows to our lineup in the newly refurbished second stage at SVT. Our first prime time run is a show of my devising called
Lola. Inspired by the structure of the film Run, Lola, Run*, we'll be improvising the same narrative three times, with three radically different outcomes based on the slightest changes in causal incidents.
The crackerjack rotating cast is made up of:
Shannon McCormick
Shana Merlin
Ace Manning
Michael Joplin
Topping Haggerty
Jason Vines
Marc Majcher
Eric Heiberg
Audrey Sansom
&
Craig Kotfas
(with an occasional guest performer)
Sound design by Sara Farr
Tech by:
Sara Farr
Brandon Salinas
Kerri Lendo
Susannah Raulino
Jen Kaplan
Kristin Firth
&
Jon Bolden
Shows at 8 pm, Fridays and Saturdays, February 6th through March 14th
$10
Video trailer coming soon....
*please note that despite the poster, there will be no red wig in this show

I just saw Lola Rent/Run Lola Run last night! I love magical realism in movies. I hope y'all can keep the "realism" part of it. That is what makes it so cool.

I dunno, with that Raggedy Andy thing going on - random people might keep trying to undress him.
The other awful outcome would be if people started asking him to do prop humor.

L-o-l-a, Lola, you say? Did you happen to see Amnesia Wars' run of The Lola in NYC in 2003 or 2004? That's crazy, coming up with the same format independently like that. It's almost like different animals coming up with the idea to figure out how to fly!
I hope your Lola run flies with great strength.

Wow, no, I didn't know that someone else had also come up with a similar format. It'd be interesting to see what they focused on. Birds and bats fly differently, you know. Oh, another show tonight. Inaugural show went well last night.
