Yoga for improvisers, yoga for non-improvisers
Hey there all you fantastic people!
I have a lot of extra time on my hands and have been thinking about teaching an inexpensive ($5ish) yoga class. Beginning/intermediate yoga or yoga for improvisers...something like that.
If you are interested or have been looking for a yoga class to attend, let me know! you can respond to this post or send a PM. I would like to get an estimate on the number of people interested so I can find a room of the appropriate size.
You need no prior yoga experience to come to my class! However, if you do have some yoga education, I'll make sure you stay challenged and interested.
If you have ever been interested in yoga but nervous about taking it because of how inflexible you are, then STOP it! That's a silly worry. There are SO many people who can't touch their toes. Having tight hamstrings is a very common state of being. Not going to a yoga class because you are worried about not being able to touch your toes is like not going to yoga class because you can't do King Pigeon Pose:

The hamstrings are a tough and stubborn body part, but with time they do gain flexibility and become easier to work with.
So, if you are interested, please let me know! If you have any questions, the please let me know as well.
The only thing I need you to have is a yoga mat...but those can be found all over at inexpensive prices. Overstock.com, Amazon, ebay, etc...If anyone finds mats at a good price, please share the link.
That's it for now!

I used to do Ashtanga very regularly, but it's been years. I've been craving to redo the beginner series at yogayoga and get back into it, but scheduling around everything else has made it not possible yet. So I might be interested depending on timing.
Would you be doing a more flowy thing like Ashtanga or long poses like Hatha or something else entirely?

haha, no quiz.
It's awesome all you guys are interested! I'll see what i can work out. Keep an eye on this thread for details and scheduling suggestions.
I'm an Anusara/Hatha student, so there will be some classes that are more flowy then others since I like both flow and classes that take everything a bit slower and deeper and teach proper alignment. maybe I'll have one class a week that's flow and one that's just regular Hatha.
Please don't get scared off by words like Hatha or Ashtanga! it's nothing to worry about!
