The AIC Lumberjack Match - Thursday May 4th!

Post by ChrisTrew.Com »

Info for the AIC:
The showcase show on May 4th is going to be a "Lumberjack Match."
I'll explain what that is because I made it up.

The show opens with two debators who take a suggestion and then debate on the topic. They go for about 2 minutes and are followed by the improvisors doing scenes based off the debate.
The debators will return again the middle and again in the end to settle the debate.

There is two acts for this. Each act will run for approximately 45 minutes and have a different set of improvisers and debators.

People confirmed for show who's names I might spell wrong are:

Caitlyn Sweet
Andy Crouch
Tami Nelson
Jerm Pollet
Owen and John from the Sinus Show
Wes Bain
Doug
Eric Heidberg
Mike Joplin
Rachel Madorsky
Jen Cargill
Andy P.
Shannon McCormick
Jay Bernardo
Jon Benner
L.B. Deyo from Alamo's Dionysium

If I approached you and you are not on this list, then no worries, It's just that I'm not on my laptop. I'm at a Kinko's in Chicago scrambling to let everyone back home know what's happening at the theatre next week.
More news soon.

Does anyone know Jon Benner or Mike Joplin's email?

This will also be a joint art show.

Spread the word!

Again - this is tonight, come support and help spread the word while you're out on First Thursday. I assume we're all meeting at Opal's afterwards for catch-up time?

That turned out really well. Thanks for those who came out and supported and thanks to the performers.

I think the format worked. I want to do it again.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it for the show -- work has been keeping me chained to a PC right now.

I'm excited to see it when you put it up again!

It was a lot of fun!
Kudos to CTrew.

I see a lot of good Thursdays in our future!

(Maybe we could do it again during the Late Night Jam slot?)

I would be more than happy to do another Lumberjack at a late night slot. Let me know when you want it.
