Excellent improviser and dear friend, James Roberts, recently took off to help volunteer for the campaign in the pivotal state of Florida. He went to the Ft. Lauderdale area where he has family so that he could knock on doors, or make calls, or do what was needed. They quickly recognized his outsized talent and he ended up getting hired on as organizational staff and now he's trying to recruit the manpower needed for the especially critical last 4-5 days before election day.
It's a bit spur of the moment, but myself and Amy McKenna are headed there on Oct. 31st or Nov. 1st to help our friend and our choice for President out. We're booking our flight today but would love if others could come also.
James asked if I would extend the invitation to the larger community. So...here it is. If you're interested in helping out the campaign in Florida - PM me and we'll coordinate. It'll be good time with friends, work for a good cause and, if it's any enticement, there's also a big party planned for the evening of the election. I know there are also opportunities in other swing states that may be geographically closer or maybe someplace that you have friends/family to stay with. I would recommend checking the general campaign site for more details on those. There's a lot you can do locally, too.
