SUBMIT AVAILABILITY FOR THE NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2008 SCHEDULE

Howdy!

The Austin Improv Collective is now looking for your availability for Fridays in November and December. If you know of any other groups that might want to submit, feel free to forward this on to them.

A FEW ANNOUNCEMENTS, CAPITALIZED TO EMPHASIZE IMPORTANCE:

* THE SHOW ORDER IN THE FINAL SCHEDULE IS FIXED, UNLESS A CHANGE IS
APPROVED BY ME
* ANSWER THE AVAILABILITY QUESTIONS IN THE ORDER AND FORMAT PROVIDED.
* HOSTING IS REQUIRED FOR TROUPES IN 2 OR MORE SHOWS
* IF YOUR AVAILABILITY ISN'T IN BY THE 17TH, YOU WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED
* IF YOU NEED TO SWAP OR CANCEL SHOWS, CONTACT ME.

The dates to keep in mind are:

October 17th: deadline for availability to be in
August 22nd: new schedule distributed

Please send in your troupe's availability by PMing or emailing me. Email is preferred.

***AVAILABLE DATES***

We are seeking availability for the following dates:

November 7, 14, 28*
December 5, 12, 19, 26**

* day after thanksgiving
** day after christmas

Please try and make your troupe as available as possible. This will make
scheduling dramatically easier.

***INFORMATION TO PROVIDE***

Answer the following questions in the order and format provided.

1. Name of troupe
2. Contact's name, phone number, and email
3. Ideally, how many shows would your troupe prefer to be in over the
two months? I will treat this number as a maximum, so don't be shy.
4. How often does your troupe rehearse?
5. How does your troupe promote/advertise itself?
6. What other shows does your troupe perform in? How often?
7. dates you will be available to perform
8. dates you will be available host

**QUESTIONS FOR NEW GROUPS/PROJECTS**
9. Who is in your group?
10. How long have you been together?
11. Have you performed before?
12. What's your "deal"? (we do the harold, we tell stories, we perform blindfolded, we don't show up, etc...)

***FRIDAY SHOW DESCRIPTIONS***

8PM: Threefer Madness, featuring 3 troupes with 25 minutes each
10PM: The Double Barrel, featuring 2 troupes with 40-45 minutes each

***FRIDAY HOSTING DUTIES***

7:30pm-11:45pm

HOSTING IS REQUIRED ONCE FOR EACH LOCAL TROUPE WITH AT LEAST TWO SHOWS
SCHEDULED.

HOST TEAMS will be in the command of the stage manager, who will be
present each Friday to supervise and make sure you are keeping the place
clean and functional.

Duties include (for both shows):

* 1 tech booth person
* 1 box office person
* 1 ticket taker
* 1 MC (show host)
* Cleaning the greenroom and theater.
* making sure the shows run smoothly.
* Doing anything else the stage manager asks of you.
