My three favorite shows so far have been You're Not My Real Dad, IfE/Cochise, and Rue Brutalia. I really loved the opening sketch in Rue Brutalia.

Rue Brutalia!

But, come on, a sketch featuring Tom Waits giving the commencement address for the Juliard School of Music? How could they not be my favorite?

I kept worrying that my cackling backstage was going to disrupt the sketch. That piece was right up my alley.

Look Cookie was very good.

Galapagos is my favorite so far though.

Rue Brutalia. They had me long before "lip piano," but that solidified it. One hell of a show.

As soon that sketch started, I began thinking, "Kareem better be seeing this, because they specifically wrote this for him!"

Rue Brutalia was freakin' awesome, along with IfE's Cochise and Look Cookie (which I am currently recapping). Though, who knows what'll be in store for us tonight...

Every set I saw on Wednesday night was sweetly solid.

Galapagos pulled off one of the best invocation openings I've ever seen. It's totally changed my point of view on how to do that particular opening. The rest of their show was stellar as well. Thanks for broadening my mind Galapagos!

PS - I wish I could have seen Look Cookie. Judging by the audience reactions I could hear backstage, it sounded like they were killing.

I wish I could have seen Look Cookie ...
I'm hoping that videos of the shows that I didn't get to see (and the shows that I'd love to see again) will be posted!

Well, here's a taste of what you missed...

Dating Show Host Pete Pipston (Lubu): "We're on to round two, where we take the sexy and DOUBLE IT!"/"We're going to take the mass of the sexiness and multiply it by three sexigrams!"

Dating Show Contestant (Kerri): "Bachelor #3, I'm a big ol' ostrich! Whatcha gonna do with me?"

Dating Show Contestant: "Bachelor #5, tell me something romantic!"
Mike: "I have a bed!"

Computer Programmer (Mike): "Last time we confronted the internet demon, it did jump out!"

PH company's Phrenzy was awesome. That was one format I wish I could have been a part of. Everyone was so high energy and they all looked like they were having a lot of fun up there.

Get Up is my favorite show so far. That show had the best kiss I could pretty much ever hope to see in an improvised play. Way, way better than that Spidey and Mary Jane thing.
