Unfortunately, they only let you air guitar to Foreigner for this contest. ALL of the songs they chose are totally lame for air guitaring to. I'd still love to see Kaci rock it out though.

It's hard to get excited by any of these Foreigner songs, but I suppose I'll gear up and head over there this afternoon....

Foreigner is pretty much the crappiest band you could possibly air guitar to. I just did my bit and I think it turned out pretty good. It'll all be worth it if I win a trip to Hawaii for doing freakin' air guitar!

Extending our hours through 6pm today and may try to capture a few more performances on Monday.

Wish we had a broader song selection to offer. Hot Blooded and Juke Box Hero seem to be the favorite song selections so far - performances by Deviled Elvis, Starwolf Night Ranger, Gentleman Joe and Captain Action were all off the chain. Deviled Elvis considered the less than adequate song selection a test of his improvisational ability - a testiment to his committment to the craft.

Awesome! Who is Captain Action?

Captain Action is a drummer in a local band, Go Action Team. he was kind/brave enough to put down the sticks and pick up an air guitar for us.

Hello Austin Air Guitarist’s!
Guitarists doesn't have an apostrophe in it. Ugh.

I'm curious about the technique needed to truly lay down a good air guitar solo. Precision and accuracy in the fingering and picking? True ability to mime the missing object?

Anyone know any good youtube examples, perhaps? I'd love to see the winner.

I actually had a gig recording online how-to lessons for air guitar, but the company that was going to do it had to pull the plug b/c of issues with the unsanctioned use of copyrighted music. Really lame.
