GGG just got home from twin cities. What a wonderful festival!! The stage at a Brave New workshop was like a playground for improvisers...panels on the back wall that swung around, a built in bar on the side (perfect for sitting/laying on), footholds on the wall, and a loft area above the musician. GGG had a great show. It was totally inspiring playing in that space.
Some of my favorite troupes that we saw were a Brave New Workshop, Rampleseed, 5 man job, 123 Improv, and Scram. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with the quality of shows at the festival. People were really committed and played largely without fear. Plus the audiences were great...the theater sat 200+, and every show I went to was at least half full.
Minneapolis rules!
