I think the AIC switched its advertisements in the Onion to promote the Cagematch, in an attempt to boost attendance numbers. Erik's girlfriend may have designed it, though I'm not 100% sure.

Ted did a draft of it, but Erik's girlfriend (also known as Tiffany) made the final draft that has been going in.
