No More Hangovers!!!

Post by Evilpandabear »

On Sunday, the 23rd of April, I will be hosting two panels on sake, the Japanese rice wine if you will, entitled: No More Hangovers!!! Drink Sake. I've been giving these lectures for over a year now, and this will more than likely be my last one I give before I go over seas. I've been studying (and drinking) sake for over 3 years now. I was the wine buyer for Uchi Restaurant here in Austin for over a year, and helped them form their sake list as well. Below are the descriptions of each of the panels I will be giving. The fee will be very nominal and friend friendly. I am a man of many passions. Most of you know me solely through our shared passion of Improv; I now invite you along to view another one of mine.

No More Hangovers!!! Part 1
"This panel teaches attendees all about sake: how it’s made, how to order it, how to drink it, how to buy it, how to impress the date, why you can’t get a hangover from sake, the difference between hot and cold, what is good sake, what is bad sake, and how to make sense of all the different kinds of sake and all the countless terms that go with it."

No More Hangovers!!! Part 2
"This panel will be a sake tasting. It is intended to work in conjunction with the previous panel. I will lead everyone on a journey through the various sakes and Japan, by tasting a variety of sakes. (ie – hot sake, junmai, daiginjo, nigori, jizake, etc.) We’ll talk about each sake, where it came from, where they could purchase them, and proper storage. Hopefully by the end, everyone will have a deeper appreciation for sake and leave with a solid footing into a much bigger world."

Please post with any questions, comments, concerns, or if you plan to attend.
