Tuesday Night...the Hideout Theater...upstairs...free...be there...

By popular request, this week's basic theme will be game theory!

In addition to our usual fare, we'll also take some common games (and game "types") and really focus on breaking them down to find out how they work, why they work, and how you can bend the rules to make them work best for both you and the audience.

I have a short list of games I'd love to break down but I also want to know any that you want to look at more in-depth--especially games or game categories that you've seen or played in Maestro that you want to work on improving.

It'll be a fast, fun, playful night. Look forward to seeing you there!

excellent!
I'd like to know more about playing:
> Fortunately/Unfortunately
> Spoon River Anthology
> the "inner thoughts" game that was played last week in the show.
among many others ...
thank you!

Sweet!

Luckily, I'm married to the source that taught me Fortunately/Unfortunately, so I'll dig up some tips and tricks.

And Spoon River is officially my second favorite improv game of all time, so I have all sorts of pacing and story tips for that. I love that game.

Inner Dialogue is a good call, too. That is definitely a really great game for performance and well worth workshopping.

Keep 'em coming!

Jon wins line of the night for his punwork in 185.

Suggestion: condom

"185 condoms walk into a bar. And the bartender says, "Man, it sure felt better in here without you guys."

I think it's a funny 185, but how is it a pun?

I had a really good time Tuesday night. Wes, you are a great teacher and I'm really enjoying getting to know you other Jammers. I agree that Jon's was the best line of the night.
