How was it?

GGG - Space Shuttle, the Musical

Another fun space themed show where Shana & Mo were piloting a space shuttle heading for the sun, due to Shana's character's navigational error. Madeline played a Good Will Hunting space janitor with a horribly scared face who was capable of helping, but only wanted respect from the crew who kept trashing the ship, so refused to help. Erin and Kacey played Shana's polar opposite fraternal twin daughters down on earth. Erin played the good, smart, and ugly sister was dominated by her mean, dumb, and pretty sister, Kacey -- who made her cook for her. Andrea played several supporting characters... Kacey's boyfriend, Erin's nerdy friend who loaned her the family space shuttle, and ultimately, the black hole that ended the show. Whoop!

Pgraph - Finance Trouble, the French Farce

A fun farce from the boys and girls of Pgraph... Sleepy wife Val wants a new dress to wear to the ball. Roy has trouble with money, but tries to hide it by promising her a new dress only if she can stay awake for a day... Children Kaci and Kareem give tit-for-tat in a verbal war to find out who is Val's favorite child, in which we learn that Kareem's character likes to wear women's clothing... Kaci doubles as a maid who only wants to be paid in something other than sex from Roy so she can supposedly support her family... Kareem came in at end as the Vicker who wants Roy to return the church funds he had been stealing... All ended in chaos, which seems par for this family.

Get Up - Speakeasy Noir show

Shannon, club owner of a Harlem speakeasy, contracts Shana, an ex-hitman, to come back to work and knock off the Mayor (Shana) who had stollen his prize dancer (Shannon) and secretly locked her in his Mayoral mansion making her write and type up his speeches, of which she does a very poor job. In the end, the hit-man and the dancer run off to Canada, leaving the Mayor and the Club Owner to wallow in the despair of their own making.

Available Cupholders - Trailer Trouble

When the lights come up, we find Ace, Jeremy, Bill and Kaci stuck in a trailer with their turtle farm, no food, Kaci's little girl character about to pee in her pants, while a horrible tornado like storm approaches. Matters are made worse by the tension between Jeremy and Ace, who plays his ex-wife. All seems lost until the power of prayer helps to make things right. Thank you Jesus!!

Kunckleball Now - Craig and Mike D, with guest Bill

Rollicking fun! Favorite part was when Craig came out and moved the set boxes to the front of the stage and Bill and Mike came out and continued to give Craig ominous "box" trials to complete. Can't really do this one justice here.

Backpack Picnic - Mitch, Dave, Shannon, Jeremy

Fun mix of live and video sketch-prov.

It was tiring, it was hilarious, it was unseasonably cold, and I feel like I got hit by a train, but it was really, really fun.

Madeline making a great recovery from taking a club to the mouth.
Mo protesting the second hole by taking a crap in it, and yelling at me.
JD Walsh was awesome as Tom Cruise...all day, but then he left.
Shana in Get Up as the mayor of New York, talking straight about paving the streets of the city.
Ace Manning knowing that the right thing to do to end the Cupholder's set was also the saddest thing to do.
Playing with Bill and Craigy, and being an Inuit family.

Mission IMPROVable delivering the goods.
Watching Todd and Ezra argue about being the tree during The Doubtful Guests, and then the segment in which they named the bird.
Being ridiculously tired.

A great time was had by all, and we can't wait to see you again for Out Of Bounds West 2009. Now I must sleep.

Yes! I loved that too. And other great moments in the NYC Start Trekkin show. And there was more awesomeness by other groups, including Brently Heilbron bravely singing through all chapters of R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet LIVE, and the improvised Tennessee Williams play by Impro Theatre, and... but I'm tired, too! Sorry, Chris.

Really, you had to have been there. I was overly impressed with the amount of Texans in LA... even while in Huntington Beach, there were lots of UT and "Keep Austin Weird" shirts floating around. Hm.

Thanks a bunch, Mike and Sara! Maybe next year I can make it out there...

I have massive improv fatigue from taping these, but I'll go through what I loved and can remember. On the plus side they're all on video, and legible.
