Hi everyone,
We are very lucky to have Chris and Roy agree to be our directors. And because these are awesome guys who are working hard to make this Maestro extra wonderful they have a couple of things to mention.

1) We have a couple of people already interested in playing So, signing up isn't necessarily "first come first served," but will be considered.

2) We are going to try and do more scene work in the show--think Rich Ross, William Hall. Also, for those of you who are familiar with it, I will bring my "A Wig, A Hat and Something Else" set-up.

3) Call is at 9pm. The director(s) will run the warm-ups. BE THERE ON TIME. Warm-ups will be focused and fun and productive. If you are cast, then get to the Hideout early so that WE CAN START WARMING UP ON TIME.

4) It would be awesome to have players represented from a variety of troupes...troupes from all over town...

5) Thanks for signing up or considering!

You guys want a score-keeper? I can do that. Or help out in any other way.

Just jump right into the warm-ups when Kabam! is over.

Or, if you are playing in a show before Maestro, then we just need you to jump into warm-ups as soon as you can.

We wrap Ka-Baam at 9:15. People playing Ka-Baam then have 10 minutes worth of notes, tops.

Hey guys, it's Erik and I am in. Without being too corny, it's my birthday weekend, so I wanted to pull the "birthday" card if I was on the bubble ;)

Hey there friendly faces. I just wanted to post a little message about the 9pm call.

As some of you know, when I started playing Maestro, the majority of the players were not in a troupe. GGG and Well-Hung Jury and Ed 32 were just about the only troupes in town. So, the only improv most of did was Hereos shows--Micetro and either Six Degress or Gorilla Theater or Theater Sports. As a result of Micetro being the only improv show for many of us, warm-ups were like our regular troupe rehearsals. We showed up an hour before the show and spent around forty-five minutes warming up. We really connected and had pretty solid shows every week. And we had so much fun doing these warm-ups.

These days most warm-ups before shows are random, not very connecting in nature and, well, sorta moot. When a director has a chance to guide the warm-ups and people show up on time (or as best as they can show up on time) and participate with their full atttention, the shows seem to rock a little more than those shows preceeded by "crazy time."

I'm gonna bring a bunch of exercises to warm everyone up: energy games, focus exercises and scene starts. I'll explain some of the games I might want to be played in the show and talk about what my focus as a director will be that night. I'll be working a few hours this week to bring my a-game as a director. So, bringing your a-game as a player will make things even that much sweeter.

And Roy is just gonna rock b/c he rocks and loves Maestro. [Hopefully we won't have the insanely drunk and rowdy crowd that we had last week. Kudos to Dav and Marc for navigating through that insanity.]

Thanks for reading! Please sign up!

Hey guys, it looks like we are short on lights/sound and box. Does anyone want to jump in and help out on those.

Just as a rule of thumb - if you play a couple times a month then you should help on the tech about once every 3 months.

Hmmm... My current plans are to see Speed Racer with a female friend, but I suppose I could tech afterwards. Let me run it by her first. Otherwise, have an understudy ready.
