PGraph Girls Tank Tops?

Post by kbadr »

PGraph's going to do a new run of shirts, in blue. We were considering doing a small part of the run as girl's tank tops. I'm not sure of the price yet, but how many of you fine lady improvisers would be interested in buying a PGraph tank top, and if so, what size would you wear?

The new shirt design will look like this:

Also, thanks to Sara Farr for doing the sketchy version of our logo.

I'm done buying t-shirts that are not American Apparel or equally soft. Or I'm at least done wearing them. I might still buy a t-shirt, but it will sit in my closet all the time.

Will they be American Apparel?

The dude's shirts will probably not be American Apparel.

The girl shirts will be.

If the market wants American Apparel, then we will be compelled to print only American Apparel. But so far we have not had any problems selling Hanes shirts, and there are only a few people who detest non-American Apparel shirts. Why a select few have such loyalty to thin, flimsy clothing marketed with the creepiest ads is beyond me.

I'll say it right here. If we make all American Apparel shirts, we sure aren't charging $10 a shirt.

So, Andy, I should put you down for a tank top if it's American Apparel?

Please do not support a company that objectifies and sexualizes women the way American Apparel does...regardless of how soft their cotton is.

Do we need to have a talk Andy???

Jesus Christ. I started this thread to ask if any women would buy a tank top, not to debate the ethics of t-shirt companies. How many replies have been from women?

Fuck it. I'll print whatever I want. They'll sell or they won't.

Hanes is obviously more wholesome.

But it doesn't matter.
I think Hanes shirts fit most guys pretty well, but for women they are too boxy for our figures. So the solution is Hanes mens t's and American Apperal girls t's, and it has worked out so far.

I personally am fine with t-shirts instead of tank tops, though I suppose tank tops could be nice for texas summers, if only ladies wanted to buy them.

Logo's on tanks don't always look that good because there is so little space. Generally, I prefer a T-shirt. But that is just me.

First of all, I have no problem with sexualizing women, and if they're going to be objectified, at least they can look like real women. I think American Apparel ads are way less offensive than most of the glossy stuff out there.

After starting this post, I did some research. Here's an interesting article about the debate.
