Casting for Maestro, Early As Usual!

Post by acrouch »

We need players, tech and maybe a couple of directors. Anyone itching to do any of that?

I can either tech or play.

I'm game to play or do sound (but not lights).

Matt and I hit a pretty strong groove last week in Maestro in the tech booth. I know we're pressed for cast members sometimes, but I think it's really important to get two people who know what they're doing in the booth each week. Matt was able to focus on strong lighting cues and good buttons to blackout on, while I was able to adapt quickly to audience suggestions and find appropriate transition music. Our ability to focus on our own part of the booth really increased the overall production value. Sometimes, that can be crucial to keeping the show's energy and focus up.

One great technical improviser can do a pretty good job on both lights and sound. Two good tech improvisers can usually match or beat that performance.

Yes!! This is why I'm hosting an IMPROVISED SOUND workshop this coming Saturday. You should see some of those people wanting to sign up and try out their new skills for this show.

I'd like to play again or keep score, and will be there for the Improvised Shakespeare beforehand.
