Goodbye, Austin!

Post by Milquetoast »

I'm off to Houston to store stuff, and then skiing in Colorado, then I'm off to LA in about 3 weeks. I'll be at hear. tonite, and mebs at the Mohawk afterparty.

I've really enjoyed being a part of the community. There are so many remarkable troupes and the atmosphere is so great. All you need to do is head to another city to see how exciting it is to be playing here in Austin. I'm looking forward to plugging this place every chance I get. I guarantee being here will be a prestigious thing in a couple of years (if it isn't already).

I'll see you all at OOB or whatever. Look me up if you're out west; my new pad will be 7 blocks from the beach!

Cheers!

Aw shit. It was good 'proving with you. We'll cross paths again, I'm sure.

Like at OoB West over Memorial Day weekend!

Out through the fields and the woods
And over the walls I have wended;
I have climbed the hills of view
And looked at the world and descended;
I have come by the highway home,
And lo, it is ended.

The leaves are all dead on the ground,
Save those that the oak is keeping
To ravel them one by one
And let them go scraping and creeping
Out over the crusted snow,
When others are sleeping.

And the dead leaves lie huddled and still,
No longer blown hither and thither;
The last lone aster is gone;
The flowers of the witch-hazel wither;
The heart is still aching to seek,
But the feet question 'Whither?'

Ah, when to the heart of man
Was it ever less than a treason
To go with the drift of things,
To yield with a grace to reason,
And bow and accept the end
Of a love or a season?
Jericho

I want to say the loud words!
