Seeking Texas Bloggers, Vloggers, and Podcasters
Posted January 16th, 2008 by txcms_admin
The organizers of the Texas Community Media Summit slated for Saturday, March 1, in Austin, Texas, are very interested in connecting with Texas bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, and others involved with media on the web. You can see what we are doing at www.texascommunitymedia.org.
We are from community television in Texas and are closely allied with community radio, but very much see the necessity to move "beyond television." Public access television in San Antonio, by necessity because of serious degradation to public access there, have moved beyond the cable television system to additionally distribute content on the web.
San Antonio has the 411Show that started out as a public access TV show, and now South Texas Media Access, whose mission is:
"to rebuild, promote, preserve and protect public access media in Texas and across the U.S. We are made up of video producers, bloggers, podcasters, journalists, church groups, community groups, artists, performing artists and citizens who want to preserve public access media for our future."
Consider joining us in Austin on March 1.
