Hey AIC,

Matt and I are stepping up to help make the Same Years Eve party happen, but we are a community and need your help.

I will be at the Hideout on Sunday cleaning, decorating, and helping to get the upstairs set up. I plan to work from 10am-4pm, when we will go pick up the keg. We'll need help lugging it upstairs around 4:30ish. Come by if you can help out with any of that stuff.

The party part of the evening is going to be pot luck. We have an idea of what would make for a fun list of snacks and things, but can't afford to bring it all ourselves. AIC's budget will probably cover the keg, but we need your help, too. Sign up for any small thing you think you can bring and help make this party better than last years -- Here is the 2006 Same Year Countdown.

I'll be bringing a bunch of beer (probably not improviser quantities, but enough to make a dent) and a few bags of my favorite chocolate candy in the world.

1) Matt and Sara ROCK for stepping up to organize the party!

2) Matt also rocks for setting up the facebook event for Same Year's Eve - however, not that many of us have "rsvped" - so, if you haven't rsvped - please do and invite friends - the more it looks like people are coming - the more people will want to come :)

3) I'll bring some sweets - either a pie or some candy

Anybody good at crowd estimates? The thread for last year says we pulled in $315 for the AIC, which I've gone back and verified is post-hideout split, meaning 63 paying public. The only expense listed last year was $82.21 for the keg. We should be able to cover this - we just need to promote the heck out of it to make sure we get a similar turn out this year.

Sign me up for Soda at the moment, and a couple of bottles of inexpensive red & white wine.

I'll try and secure some delicious, delectable cakey cake cake. If time permits (which it will), I'll bring some bowls, cups, and some spare cookies, too.

Edit: I have secured a vanilla confetti cake w/ frosting, a load of cookies, a bunch of candy canes, chocolate, bowels, cups, forks, plates, and powdered donuts, blowing all of the money my parents left me for their trip out of town in the process.

I can go nab some bunches'o'grapes at the grocery for the 'fruits' category. I'll see if they have any of those veggie/dip trays as well.
