All-Musical maestro
I'd like to have an all-musical maestro performance sometime in the next month or so. Who would be interested in playing? What are your favorite musical improv games?
Mine is Beastie Rap, which is a great tie-breaker.

A-Digga-Digga-Digga-Digga
Musical Maastro is December 3! Pat Buchta will be the official accompanist, yet all players are encouraged to bring any and all instruments they play. I'll bring my cello. I think I will be directing, and if anyone would like to co-direct, I'd welcome the help.
Shana is tentatively doing her musical improv workshop the Wednesday before the performance, so everyone can get some last minute tips and tricks. If you want to play, sound off here (har-har). We'll also need someone for lights.

As a reminder to those who promised drunkenly, and if anyone's curious, these people have said they want to play musical maestro THIS FRIDAY.
Jen Cargill
Erin Plischke

Christina de Roos
Erika May
Phil Aulie
Rachel Madorsky
Mo Daviau
Greg Spencer
Doug Pena

We're evenly balanced in gender!
Bring any instruments or music accessories you'd like. Pat Buchta will be the official accompanist. If you'd like to play, there are still a couple of slots, so show up! Definitely come to watch. We still need a lighting person and possibly another director as well. If you're interested, just reply here.

hey, musical maestro peeps.
I have an improv friend in Tulsa who's visiting a relative in Austin this weekend. She's quite the talented singer and improviser. Do you think you could have her as a special guest this Saturday?
That would be kewl.
her name is katrina but she is not a hurricane.

When and where is Shana's musical improv class happening. I haven't heard anything about that. And I'd be happy to co-direct with you, Val.

i haven't talked with Shana recently- I don't know if the class will go off or not. Tonight at the jam people are practicing some musical stuff, I think.

Hey, do we have to know how to play the instrument?
I mean, I know HOW to play my wooden flute thing someone got
me in Hawaii, but not notes in an order and cadence (ahem...) that
would be really musically pleasing.

Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

You do not have to have formal training. You're an improviser.

Valerie, you rock.
Musical Maestro was unbelievably fun. I wish we'd videotaped it.
