jeremy AND a book?

Post by beardedlamb »

so i got this deli job downtown and i have to ride the stupid, slow, expensive train to work. the first day i nearly ate my hand from boredom. so yesterday and today i read a book that i got for x-mas fom my moms. it's called "breaking in" and it's 20 film directors' stories of how they broke into the film business. pretty good so far. here's an excerpt that jumped out at me.

Since the youngest age I have had a deep need to organize
my experience in some way for myself and others and to express
those feelings holding a mirror back up to the world, to make a
joyous or a hateul noise, to shock or embrace people. The
experience of being in a relationship with an audience and
creating a theatrical moment has been the most seductive,
constantly vital, sexiest, potent feeling that I've ever known,
and it remains so.

-- Edward Zwick
