Flame Wars

Flamey the Spider says, "Only you can prevent forum fires."

(Flamey's a Spider because he feels at home on the web... just so that you know exactly how much thought I put into this)

Bill, that is awesome. I love your punny slogan and your explanation both. (ps: I'm happy to know that, 13 pages and all, I never touched that thread).

I touched it... but in more of a non-committal-junior-high-dance sort of way. Funny when I look back on it, but I wouldn't do it again.

I have now infected this previously-pleasant thread with the toxic venom of the other thread. You can run, but you can't hide. Commit, nancy boys!

Truthfully, if any of you UCB-Thread rabble-rousers are going to come over and sully this thread, I prefer it be you, Ratliff, because you said this:

I think it's because you pulled it down that the embers are still smokin'.

If this is the alternate thread to the UCB one where we respect Roy's call to end the thread.....I will here say Mea Culpa. I haven't seen the UCB TV show because I don't own a TV. I'm overwhelmingly happy with that decision I made seven years ago but it does frequently leave me in the dark on some issues. If I was more in the know I would have understood the inside joke inherrent in their trailer. That was the only critical thing I said...but here I am...apologizing..because it was said in ignorance.

I'll also say sorry on Madeline's alternate Hummerlimo thread.

Miggy, I love you dude. I don't think anyone took umbrage at anything you wrote over there.

NO! This thread is not alternate to anything. It's a funny joke that I posted. Actually, I wonder if forum fires are as important as forest fires. Some forests can't reproduce without the heat of the blaze. And in many cases, if we would just allow them to happen more frequently, they wouldn't be so huge and deadly when they occur. FIGHT ABOUT THAT!
