feedback

Post by Roy Janik »

I ran across this directory of feedback regarding The 2007 Seattle Festival of Improv Theater... I'm sure it's not supposed to be readable to everyone on the internet, but that didn't stop me from reading them.

http://www.seattleimprov.com/feedback/

What I learned can be summed up as:

* Asaf was universally loved, both as a performer (solo IMP), and as a teacher
* SCREWBUKI (improvised kabuki from Hawaii) was awesome
* There were too many Harolds
* Don't throw your afterparties in the theaters
* try to get venues closer together

Let's get SCREWBUKI over here. Yeah. For a show, at least. And I agree with all those compliments about Asaf.

And let's all stop doing Harolds. I mean it, now. Just stop it.

I've never done Harold. I did David, Mark and Chris but NEVER Harold.

SCREWBUKI!!!!!!!!!!!!
they were super-rad.

My favorite part of that show was going to the bathroom afterwards and telling the large man in the show that he had a good show only to learn that he, while still a large man, wasn't the same one that was in the show.

There were rumors a while back of the Screwbuki guys hosting a festival in Hawaii.

The surveys seemed to be filled out by improvisers, mostly, rather than average audience members. I wonder if their typical audience member would notice the similarity in show structure. I doubt it?

Yeah, the feedback was strictly by improvisers. Nice to see. Thanks, Roy.
