COLDTOWNE THEATER
ONE Year Anniversary Spectacular!
THIS Saturday, 9/27 8&10p!

What a year it's been for ColdTowne Theater! What started out as an old storage room filled to the brim with aged restaurant equipment is now a fully functioning comedy space with a lounge and a bar! In the meantime, we've put up projects all around the city, including at the Austin Museum of Art and the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown, won several awards (2006 & 2007 Chronicle Readers' poll awards for "Best Comedy Group" and the B. Iden Payne award for "Best Improv Company") and our conservatory has grown to nearly 80 students.

We're exhausted, but absolutely in love with the city of Austin. To show our love, and to celebrate a full year of good times, we're putting on a special night of shows THIS Saturday, October 27th!

At 8pm, Stool Pigeon will feature special celebrity guest monologists ColdTowne and an all star cast of Austin comedy impresarios. Come hear all about the theater back story, our silly infighting and help us wallow in our own hubris!

At 10pm, ColdTowne will be joined by our some of our absolute favorite people. First up is the newest performing group to come out of the ColdTowne Conservatory, Midnight Society . The only group besides ColdTowne to appear at our theater every single week since our opening, Parallelogramophonograph and the award wining Frank Mills, who teach and perform regularly at the theater, will also be there. This is some of the best comedy Austin has to offer, so don't you dare miss it.

Cheers!

Most definitely some post show chillin'. And if you finish up with Halloween plans swing by. We realize how silly it is, given that it's Halloween weekend. The lesson is: never open a theater during Halloween.

Congratulations on your anniversary, ColdTowne! You guys are awesome imps and good people. I'd help you celebrate on Sat, but I'm hosting a little of my own that night!

PS - If any of you CT loving peeps want to swing by the CT shows &/or party before coming to the spooky suburbs -- or vice-versa -- DO IT! We'll be up late!

Man, nothing beats a hot, max capacity audience. That was an awesomely fun show, and it was an honor to share the stage with Midnight Society, The Frank Mills, and ColdTowne.

And then there was that time in the Frank Mills airplane scene when Dave's character calmly stated that if the plane went down he would have sex with Rachel's character, and Cody, doing lights, looked over at me and made a little "I should pull the lights right here" hand motion, and we had a moment.

Let's do it again, forever.
