many friends of mine (mitch baker, brently heilbron among them) are doing a live rendition of r. kelly's trapped in the closet, chapters 13-21 this saturday at the People's Improv Theatre in NY.
not improv exactly, but there is improv in the show and it is incredibly hilarious.

Heilbrons "Trapped" (on ukulele!) looks awesome . . . unfortunately I'm going to miss those dates. :^( However, the PIT has a long menu of items to nibble from so thanks for the suggestion!

cheers!

i'm not sure when you're going, or if you've already been, but here is my ny show schedule every week (if i saw every show i wanted to):

tuesday: harold night at ucb, 8-11pm (but you can come or leave early in between harolds)

wednesday: the pit, all night (all the pit's house teams perform for free all night)

thursday: the cagematch, 11pm at ucb (improv with wrestling)

friday: death by roo roo:your fucked up family, 11pm at ucb (you can see some performers in the up and coming adult swim show "fat guy stuck in the internet")

saturday: reuben williams, 10:30pm at ucb (you can see charlie todd, creator of improv everywhere)

sunday: asssscat at ucb

also, derrick is hilarious. they perform sketch and improv at ucb. and elephant larry is funny, too. they're a pit team.

and if you're coming later in october check out the sketchprov festival at the pit and offensive fest at ucb, both of which i'll be performing in in some capacity.
