I hope I am not tromping on any delicate tami toes, but as junior assistant prom committee planner, my belief is that people should wear whatever will let them have the best time. If dressing up is super fun, go to the nines. If tuxedoes make you uncomfortable, and you'd rather show up in jeans, also ok.
