can a dancer learn to speak?

Post by jentastique »

Hi I'm Jennifer Micallef. I am a level 1 Student at Coldtowne and loving the adventure!

I have a number of years experience doing improvised dance and experimental performance work as well as teaching. I am currently exploring improv work with musicians and deepening my expereince of the performance duet....blahblahblah, I love dance-its big fun.....i also love doing crazy shit-its fun too.

My decision to take improv classes was a complete lark, but it is infusing my personal process in a good way. That being said I am going to begin doing my part to invigorate the improvised movement scene by hosting some jams and possibly some classes if there is an interest. I'll post that info in the correct place when the time comes. I am also interested in cross-pollinating forms and doing mixed medium jams with musicians, dancers and players...

In closing I am very happy to have found myself learning and doing in this supercool world you all have built!! 8)

What is it with you people adopting the -ique suffix? Is this suddenly the posh thing to do? Growing up with it, it only gave uncreative bullies fodder for rhyming my name with "freak" and "geek."

At any rate, welcome to the fold. Dance us up!
