PGraph 100th Show, September 21st

Holy crap. 100 shows. That's ridiculous and insane.

More importantly, it's an excuse to throw a party. Join us (and the Frank Mills) for next week's Double Barrel, and then join us for the after-party at the Moonbase.

If you don't know where that is, directions will be provided.

This awesome community is totally responsible for helping us reach this point, so it's only right that you should join in the festivities.

Wish I could be there. I really do. In the meantime, my most heart-felt congratulations.

Thanks, Asaf.

I should stress again that the main focus of this is the whole party thing. Which means you should expect the usual Moonbase party-favors, like:

* Alcohol!
* My Dad's Sausage! (whuh?)
* Musical instruments!
* A miraculously and improbably clean Moonbase
* DDR!
* Wii!
* Conversation

I recently acquired a concertina, but I have little idea how to make it do anything interesting, beyond the squeaky noises my monkey fingers squeeze out of it. I hear there might be someone around here that could point me in the right direction. I could also provide a theremin, for unlimited amusement.

Well, that all depends.

What kind of concertina do you have? Is it English or Anglo? If anglo, how many buttons? 20... 30? If 20, what key?

I'm going to guess that you have a 20 button Anglo in C/G. If so, woo. I can definitely help you out there. In fact, I can help you out with a better instrument, but we're getting ahead of the game here.

Of course, you might actually have a Konzertina, which is vaguely related, but totally different.

The cheaper instruments can be frustrating to learn on, but we can't all have 30 button Jeffries with original bellows papers from the 1860s, you know what I mean?

I haven't touched my concertina in months.

I think it's a Hohner D40, Anglo?, 20 keys, in C/G. Looks like this:

It's cheap, but I figure it's fine for learning and whatnot.

Boy, do I.

/me turns to audience, shakes head, mouths "I have no idea what that means".

Yep, you sure said it.

Bump.

The show and the party are tonight.

Since we're in the Double Barrel, the party starts kind of late. Midnight should be a safe bet.

Spread the word. Kaci and I have been putting in late nights to make sure our house is ready to go.

The address is 507 Sacramento Dr., 78704.

Call me at SIX THREE EIGHT SEVEN TWO SIX FIVE if you get lost.

See you there?
