I'm curious about improvisers personality types.

Which of the 16 personality types are you? This test is based on Carl Jung's theory of psychological types and the personality research of Myers-Briggs

Take the free personality test at:
http://www.mypersonality.info/personality-types/

I'm INFP (introverted, intuitive, feeling, perceiving)

I created a group for improvisers here
http://improv.mypersonality.info/

If you want your test results added to the improvisers group PM with an email address and I'll have it send you and invite.

I took this in school. I was and still am (I believe) an ENFJ (extroverted, intuitive, feeling, judging).

Yup. Same thing.

Hmmm... when I took the personality test, it said that my body was overrun with "Thetans" and that I needed to buy an "E-meter" to monitor them.

Boyko - I believe you are now entitled to a wild night with Jenna Elfman.
Congratulations.

I took this test in school, too. Always have been INTP. Especially strong on the I and the T.

I think I was an INFJ (borderline on all) when I took this back in 1996, working at The Learning Company in MN. I'll take it again when I have more time.

That's really interesting to see that several of you improvisers are Introverts.

I think that is interesting too, but as I recall from school (studying this kind of thing) being an introvert doesn't mean you don't like performing or being "on" it just means that they way you get energized is different.
I, being an extrovert, tend to gain energy from high level social and performative experiences. I get ramped up and awakened and feel energized. An introvert might enjoy the performance but need some alone time to recharge.
Or need to process the performance differently.

ENFP, this time around.

ENFP - The "Advocate"
(79% Extroverted, 89% intuition, 79% Feeling, 79% Perceiving)

Along with a whopping 1.5% of the population, I am "INTJ - The "Strategist""

(95% introverted, 89% Intuition, 84% Thinking, and 84% Judging - not a lot of wiggle room)

INTJs are introspective, analytical, determined persons with natural leadership ability. Being reserved, they prefer to stay in the background while leading. Strategic, knowledgable and adaptable, INTJs are talented in bringing ideas from conception to reality. They expect perfection from themselves as well as others and are comfortable with the leadership of another so long as the others are competent. INTJs can also be described as decisive, open-minded, self-confident, attentive, theoretical and pragmatic.

Pretty damn spot on, I'd say.

I also took those DISC tests several times at work. Over 7 years, my score/personality has changed maybe 1 percentage point. I'm a pretty stable at ultra high D(ominance) at about 60%, high I(nfluence) at about 30%, then low S(teadiness) at about 7%, and ultralow C(ompiance) at about 3%.

ESTP - The "Persuader"

ESTPs are action-loving, "here and now" realists with excellent people skills. Informal, risk-taking, fast-paced and adaptable, they are not always in agreeance with rules and regulations. They are tactical problem solvers that desire quick results. ESTPs, who present a friendly and enthusiastic face, are straightshooters that are able to handle criticism.

I had a really hard time taking this test. Sometimes the answer just isn't one way or the other, it depends of the circumstances, situation, etc.

I am an ENFP - a "visionary"...SWEET!

(79% Extroverted, 84% intuition, 53% Feeling, 95% Perceiving)

ENFPs (The Advocate) are introspective, values-oriented, inspiring, social and extremely expressive. They actively send their thoughts and ideas out into the world as a way to bring attention to what they feel to be important, which often has to do with ethics and current events. ENFPs are natural advocates, attracting people to themselves and their cause with excellent people skills, warmth, energy and positivity. ENFPs are described as creative, resourceful, assertive, spontaneous, life-loving, charismatic, passionate and experimental.
