The Daily Texan had a story fall through for their Thursday weekend entertainment suppliment, so they're looking to put a Cagematch story together by Wednesday evening.

If you are playing in or hosting the Cagematch tomorrow, they want to talk to you. Call Austin Powell the entertainment editor for DT Weekend at (210) 771-7508. Or email him at austin.powell@gmail.com.

They also need a kick-ass high-resolution photo, so if you have a kick-ass high-resolution photo that could plausibly represent the Cagematch (doesn't matter what show or troupe it's actually from) send it to austin.powell@gmail.com and/or post it on the Cagematch page at www.austinimprov.com.

This all has to happen by Wednesday afternoon.

Aside from some typos (due to a very short deadline) and the misleading feeling that I am the producer of this particular show...not a bad bit of publicty.

It's a great story and thanks for the good words about my troupe Dave. But I'm 20, and Doug's 19.

haha.

Don't start feeling so old yet. We're slowly catching up to you.

Great Article !

The audience would vote and use ballets and they wrote which team was better, and it became widly successful.
please note this change to cagematch procedure.

from now on, the audience will register their vote by dancing:

a. swan lake = vote for challenger, or
b. nutcracker = vote for champion

doods. i'm just being a snark on spelling since i am traveling and grumpus.

big ups to AIC, dbuckman for a great explanation of the show, and those 16 year old hotties, You Me n' Greg.

*bright spot in work day - discussing the Harold in detail with a coworker who improvises at the WIT here in DC (we both dislike it). oh improv - you make the world shine brighter.
