make a house mix for oob (this time we get it right)

Post by beardedlamb »

It's tradition that each show block have it's own original house mix (that's music played while people sit and wait) made by an austin improviser that one lucky audience member gets to take home by answering a trivia question during the act-break.
last year, the system got a little fushnackled, but i've come up with a way to head this off.

please post here if you'd like to make a mix and i'll fill in the schedule as we go.

-we need 2 copies of the cd so that one may be in the booth and one may be in the MC's hands so they can just give it away right then in between groups.

-no cursing on an 8 o'clock block's disc

-one or both copies must come in some kind of case so that it can be handled easily.

-please mark the front of your case with the date, showtime, and theatre so we get them to the right place at the right time.

-please put any kind of music that you want on the disc but keep in mind that high energy is best for pre-comedy.

-deliver your mix to jeremy by leaving it in the hideout greenroom in the bottom drawer of the grey thingy or by handing it to him or shannon before august 25.

-be creative!

I would like to submit one as long as it is not for Monday night (there might be overlaps with music we will use for Vinyl).

I'll do one, any show works for me. Hell I'll do two if you need me too (since I'll be out off town for the festival itself) Just let me know.

Thursday at 8, upstairs.
I can cover another slot if necessary, too.

a paper sleeve would be just fine and the cd can be of any length. we'll just put it on repeat. typically, there's only about 15 or so minutes that get heard because the turnover is so fast in between. maybe more for the 8 o'clocks.
