Boys of Summer

Post by Jules »

Hey ya'll. We are doing our first Boys of Summer show tomorrow night at 8 pm. I won't be in the show, cause I'm just back in town, but I'll be watching it. Come say hi! Come see the show! Come laugh!

the first boys of summer show was a great success! thanks to jeremy lamb for being the first boy to jump onstage with us.

this saturday's show brings the legendary les mcgehee to the hideout stage. we rehearsed with him last night, and he was a pleasure to play with. so don't miss a rare opportunity to see an austin improv legend do narrative longform.

iffin you are wanting to get more involved, we could greatly use box and tech people for our shows for the next 5 weeks. pm me or post here (or in the corkboard section) if you are interested/available.

Great show tonight, Girls Girls Girls -- and Kareem! (& Mike B-ROCK-man!)

First GGG catfight I've seen. And it was pretty convincing... almost scarily so! Congrats to Kacey & Shana for their combat-prov!

& I loved the big finale number. Awesome!!

Lots of happy people leaving the theater tonight!!

Yeah during the catfight I think Shana's lipstick got smeared upward, making it look like her nose got bloodied!

WAHHHHOOOOO!

Loved this show -- "Retirement Home, the Musical" was a bone-breaking hit!! Kudos to the girls -- Shana, Andrea, Kacey, Mo, Julie, & Aden.

PLUS! ASAF RONEN!!! [their pick-of-the-week SUMMER ROMEO] was an awesome guest-star, custom built for musical improv. And the musician was outstanding!!! Please remind this bunch who that hot pink tassled musican was!!!!

This show was a comedy rollercoaster, rife with true characters and emotional moments -- plus all the other razzel dazzle we've come to expect and love: singing, dancing, show-stopping tunes, and SUCK-ME-INTO-NEVER-NEVERLAND storyetlling.

It made me fall in love with this troupe all over again!!!

GGG stands for Great Great Great! I love these gals and wish they grew on trees... so all we had to do was reach up and grab love! What the world needs now, is GGG!!!

Thanks Sara. I had so much fun with the ladies of GGG. They were a blast to play with and wish I could do it every week.

Thank you, Sara and thank you, Asaf!

We've got a real barnstormer next week: the return of John Ratliff from yonder Chi-town. Get there early. This one's going to sell out!

Hells yeah! I've missed me some Ratliff.
