Jam

Post by Roy Janik »

There's a jam tonight.
So come jam.

Kareem and I are going to strive to focus on initial offers and finding out what "the deal" of a scene is.

Wow, what a seriously good jam. We had an audience (1 family of 9 or so people?), and around 9 jammers. We focused hardcore on scenework, and did 3 montages, and played a bunch of warmups and exercises I haven't done in years.

Plus, there were like 4 people that were new or almost new to the jam. Rachel, from Michigan, who was trained in Johnstonian improv... Ashley, who's taking level 1 right now, but who's take classes at UCB and the Pit... not to mention Paul and Al.

Thanks to everyone who came out.

There should be a gang from the State Theatre teen camp coming to the next jam. Keep an eye out for them.

You improvise every day.
Why not get good at it?
