Professional Comedian needed...
Reliable professional comedians needed to open 9 performances of Forklift Danceworks award winning show The King & I. The King & I features fast-paced dancing, witty choreography, and of course the music of Elvis Presley. The show is loosely structured on Elvis’ last concert. Elvis had a comic open for that show. We are looking for the same. We need a 10 minute set in a lounge style with a MC/host flare. The shows are August 2nd,3rd,4th,9th,10th,11th,16th,17th,and 18th all at 8pm. You would be the show opener and would not be required to stay the length of the show. We are offering $25 dollars a show or $300 for all. We are looking for no more than two comics. This lady and her Elvis impersonator are AMAZING. Allison has choreographed dances with garbage-men, fire-men, blind guys and their seeing eye dogs, grandmas and rollerskates, and Gondoliers in Venice.
She usually draws a pretty big crowd, too, so this might be a good chance to flex your stand-up skilz on a different kind of audience . . .
