So, this is a pretty self important little post that should also serve to disseminate some information.

I'm moving to and staying in Austin.
The original plan, well maybe not the original plan, but the one before this one was to move to Austin for the summer, help do Out of Bounds, and move to Los Angeles to seek acting work in September. Well, after spending nearly two months in Austin over the holidays I have decided that I can't deny my roots, nor do I want to continue to be away from the people I love the most.
My new goal is to set up shop in Austin, tour with a group, teach whenever possible, make movies, and work my way into Municipal politics. Well, 3/4 of that is true. Whereas before my goal was to be a famous, wealthy, rockstar of stage and screen, I now long to be the poor, locally respected improvatuer guy who can see his family whenever he wants. Call it a sense of aging or an immense feeling of community, but Austin seems like where I need to be right now.

Plus, I'd kinda like to watch UT football games on TV again. And not paying $1200 in rent every month like I probably would in Cali sounds good, too. Oh yeah, and. . . . . you get the point.

Anyway, my hope is that we can move the world with great improv.
I like you.

Wow, this is good news!

The super Bowl hasn't even begun and I already know this news will trump it.

This makes me and Erika extremely happy too.

Jeremy, you are awesome. And of course you're coming home to Austin. This doesn't surprise me at all. I also have felt the draw of Los Angeles only to recognize all the things you have mentioned. Why go off and do battle with big city problems, when you can have it all here, help build this community up the way we all want it to be, and take re-charge trips to the culturally saturated (and crime ridden) world's of LA, NYC, and Chicago? I just wish you were here right now, tonight! commentating on the Super Bowl with Micky D'Alonzo. But there will be other games to be played.

Hooray! And Welcome Home!

Welcome back, Beardo. We need all the Chicago-hardened Austin repatriates we can get, you especially.

That's so fucking sweet.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing you and working with you while you were here in December and January. I'm really excited about all the possibilities and opportunities that can open up when you are a more permanent fixture and resident of the ATX, and more importantly, the Austin Improv Collective.
I know I was welcomed back with open arms, and I know you will be too.

(oh yeah, and FUCK California, you may have only ventured there to discover it was something akin to a gilded piece of trash, and wasted valuable time of your prime)

yippee

California's wonderful, don't listen to Kaci (^ up there), she's just mad cause she didn't get instantly famous.

BUT, more importnantly, that's really awesome that you're coming back to the ATX. Perhaps interested in some permanent coaching jobs Sir Lambo? California's not for everyone, and Austin needs your experience and skill. Then again, be careful not to become a pompous bastard like that TIGHT troupe, they think just because they're from Chicago that they're better than EVERYONE else, ugh...so disgusting. ;)

take it easy, and have a wonderful spring tour.

Says the girl who's only experienced a FRACTION of California. When you judge an entire diverse state on the strength of ONE of it's areas, you are making the same mistake as Californians assuming that you voted for Bush and ride a horse to school.

Stop dissing on the California, lord knows, you may ACTUALLY live there one day. It's really not that bad, and I saw Oakland, Berkeley, AND San Fran, I cruised up and down the whole bay area and it was fucking magnificent. The attitude of Austin, with better weather, better scenery, and more upscale fashion boutiques for men! (and I believe we ALL know how much I love my upscale fashion boutiques!)

To each his/her own, but don't judge a book by it's cover. Look before you leap and too many chefs spoil the broth that never boils when you watch it.
