Hey friends!

This weekend I'm working on a new deck to go with my TOTALLY AWESOME new fence. I will be starting to work on it Friday, and finishing it up on Saturday. This won't be as big a production as the fence, but if you want to come by and lend a hand or just check it out, here's the addess. Plus you'll get to meet my wacky dad, Emil Jr., and my steel magnolia grandmother, Thelma Farr (who donated that DIET-DESTROYING pound cake to the fence-raising crew).

I'm planning a big party this summer to celebrate my new backyard, and all who helped will be invited and treated to some tastey adult beverages and fine outdoor cooking.

The weather outside IS AWESOME!!! Come enjoy the outdoors on Saturday, get a tan, drink beer or help build something (and then drink beer)!

Okay, we just got back from dinner @ the Oasis (had to take my family there -- great sunset, btw) and we were just discussing tomorrow's building plans. The weather is AWESOME! have I mentioned that?? If you're not outside doing something tomorrow, you will be missing the last of the Spring weather.

The lumber came today (ooo Cedar!!!) but we have to buy some supplies for the base in the morning, so I don't think we'll be up and going on the decking part until 11am. You are welcome to come any time around or after lunch. We have a small ham and lunch stuff, and my grandmother brought her awesome pound cake.
