My friend has this:
1908 East 21st Street, near Manor Road in East Austin
A charming cottage with well-planned interior lay out. This 2
bedroom, 1 bath home is on a quiet street near Alamo Park. It has a
huge fenced back yard, central A.C. and heating and is in the
process of getting a new interior and exterior paint. Kitchen and
bath have easy to clean linoleum; living room and bedrooms have red
oak hardwood floors. Washer and dryer too. Pets OK.
Available June 1.
Let me know if you wanna go see it. He'd love to lease to someone I know in town...
Thanks Babies.

Hmm, I could afford it. It's in my area. Here's the trick - I'd need to find a roommate for it.
Probably should pass, especially since I've already found some neat roommates and I probably don't need a whole house. Yet.

Ah, I hope you enjoy your can of worms...
Technically, yes, I am a caucasion. But I'm also African American. I am a European American, African American, Other.
Egypt's in Africa. I'm 50% Egyptian. I love having this conversation with people who are die-hard politically correct.
"I'm African American"
"No you're not."
"Egypt's in Africa."
"You're not bl..er...it means sub-saharan African American"
"Oh, ok, so people who descended from white South Africans are African American?"
"No, we mean bl...er..."
Just say black if you mean black. Fucking jackasses.
Charley Pride has a beautiful quote about it
"Reporters used to ask me, 'How does it feel to be the first colored country singer? Then it was, 'How does it feel to be the first Negro country singer?' Then, 'How does it feel to be the first black country singer?' Now they ask me, 'How does it feel to be the first African-American country singer?' And I tell them, 'About the same as it did when I was colored.'"
Kacey and I are both half-brown, so that'd make one full non-whitey in the house.

I love that Farsi and Pashto and lots of langauges in the Middle East are way more closely related to English than they are to Arabic, whose only real living cousin is *gasp* Hebrew. Somewhere Bill Kristol's upper lip is clammy.
OK, continue talking about real estate.
