There is nothing going on Sundays at ColdTowne Theater for a while, so we decided to have movie night. This will be FREE for EVERYONE.

The whole point is to make it no hassle, just a fun time. Every Sunday that someone sees fit, we will rent a movie from I Luv Video and then watch it from the projector on the big screen in the theater. It's that easy... hopefully.

I think it would also be fun to have someone give a brief "film student" rundown on the movie first (what to look out for, themes, interesting behind the scenes antecdotes, etc) only because that sort of thing fun and interesting.

If you are an "expert" in any particular movie, let me know. I reserve the right to shoot down any movie to which I will be attending. I will post later in the week what the movie will be and who will be giving the rundown.

This sounds like the perfect Sunday evening activity.

If you don't have enough people volunteer I'll jump in for a movie the third Sunday of the month.

I volunteer do give a rundown on Harold and Maud!! (I also have the DVD  )

I recently acquired the 2(3?) disc version of The Maltese Falcon. I also got Cool Hand Luke, which is an amazing movie that you need to see, if you haven't.

I am so in on this. I have to mine the depths of what I can intro that might not be too well known. So far I am thinking "I Am Nobody" a classic spaghetti western.

Might i suggest Dragonslayer?
The young Peter MacNicol looks remarkably like the young Francis Mcdormand.
We could watch it on split screen with Blood Simple.

How about if we pick a theme for the month and different people pick a movie for that theme?

Like the theme of Dark Comedy. For which I would pick Parents or Eating Raoul.

If we're doing dark comedy, I think Dr. Strangelove needs to be screened.

And The Burbs.
